David Matyis’ fine art prints are available in 2 different processes, Giclée and Metal Prints.
His Giclée Prints are created using high-resolution inkjet printers that spray microscopic droplets of archival-grade pigment ink onto fine art paper or canvas, capturing exceptional detail, smooth color transitions, and the subtle textures of the original artwork or photograph. The papers used—often 100% cotton or alpha cellulose—are carefully selected for their texture, durability, and ability to hold vibrant color, resulting in a rich, professional finish. One of the greatest advantages of Giclée printing is its archival quality; both the pigment inks and fine art papers are engineered to resist fading and deterioration for up to 200 years (in proper lighting and display conditions). This makes Giclée prints a top choice for collectors, artists, and galleries seeking long-lasting, museum-quality reproductions that preserve the beauty and integrity of the original work over time.

Metal Photo Prints on the other hand, are created using a process called dye-sublimation, where the image is first printed onto a special transfer paper with high-quality dye-based inks. This transfer is then placed on a specially coated aluminum sheet, and through the application of heat and pressure, the image is infused directly into the metal surface. The result is a vibrant, high-definition print with exceptional detail and color depth. Because the image becomes part of the metal itself rather than sitting on top, metal prints are extremely durable and resistant to fading, moisture, scratches, and UV light, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor display. The final product has a sleek, modern look, available in glossy or matte finishes, that enhances the sharpness and vibrancy of the original image.
